The Minnesota Timberwolves are down one more point guard in their Thursday night road game against the Los Angeles Lakers, as the team's Twitter account is reporting that Derrick Rose is questionable to return to the contest due to a sore right ankle.

As noted by Mike Trudell of ESPN Los Angeles, the Timberwolves are already missing point guards Jeff Teague and Tyus Jones due to health issues, so they are hoping that Rose's ankle problem is not going to be a long-term issue, as their backcourt rotation has become incredibly slim.

Minnesota is looking to win their third game in a row on Thursday' date with Los Angeles after defeating the Phoenix Suns at home and on the road last Sunday and Wednesday, respectively. Rose scored 31 points in the first leg of that home-and-away trip but managed just six points in the following meeting with the Suns.
Teague is sitting out the Lakers game with a foot ailment, while Jones has been sidelined by a high-ankle sprain that has forced him to miss the Timberwolves' previous three games.
With Rose, Teague, and Jones not available as of the moment, the Timberwolves' playmaking from the backcourt will be mostly handled by NBA journeyman court general Jerryd Bayless.
Minnesota will travel to Salt Lake City following its meeting with the Lakers for a date with the Utah Jazz Friday.
