After having entered the day questionable to suit up due to an elbow contusion, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will play Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks.

James reportedly sustained the injury in the closing moments of Friday's win over the Miami Heat, when Jimmy Butler ran through a screen that knocked him to the floor. If there was any silver lining, it was that the ailment occurred to his non-shooting arm, which should theoretically affect him less.

James has yet to miss a game this season and has averaged 34.6 minutes per game. Head coach Frank Vogel has monitored his minutes when able, yet he has still put together an incredible season that has seen him score at least 20 points in each of his past 16 games.

The evolution of James' game has seen him become the league's leading assist man at age 34. He has dished out an average of 10.8 assists on a nightly basis, with 19 of his 26 outings having featured a double-digit assist total. He figures to have a solid chance at improving that average when he faces the Hawks, who have had difficultly slowing the opposition thus far in 2019-20. They're giving up 118.4 points per game entering play Sunday, the third-most in the league.

The Lakers enter the game in the midst of a six-game winning streak, sitting atop the Western Conference standings with a 23-3 mark.
