New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis and Chicago Bulls small forward Jimmy Butler have been named NBA Players of the Week in the Western and Eastern conference, respectively.

Davis averaged a league-high 33.7 points per game, leading the West with 13.7 rebounds and three blocks per game, while adding two steals in the effort. The Chicago native had back-to-back 38-point games, including two monster 16-rebound efforts against Boston and Charlotte.

The Pelicans improved to 4-10 after starting the season with eight straight losses. New Orleans went 3-1 in the week, but 3-0 in every game Davis took the floor. He's now become the NBA's leading scorer with 31.7 points per game.

Butler had back-to-back double-doubles to begin the week, finishing with a 40-point scorcher against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

The Bulls swingman averaged 27.3 points and 9.3 rebounds in four games, leading Chicago to a 3-1 record with all three wins coming on the road.
