In wake of the violent protests in Charlottesville, Virginia over this past weekend, numerous Confederate statues across the United States have been torn down.

Cousins has never been one to hold back his true feelings about any topic, and this recent situation is no different regardless if it's away from the game of basketball. He is the latest NBA player to voice his disdain in how Donald Trump has handled things and his various comments about the entire issue.

Several notable current and former NBA stars such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant have all taken to social media to show their disapproval of the current actions taken by Trump. The stance that Cousins has taken is likely one shared by many other players around the league.

There have already been four statues in New Orleans that were in honor of the Confederacy. Along with that, other major cities such as Baltimore, Maryland, and Brooklyn, New York have seen monuments taken down. Many others in various locations are also being considered to be removed.
