Everyone knew that Anthony Davis' return to New Orleans as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers would be met with a lot of boos and jeers. However, no one would have been prepared for how the New Orleans Pelicans would introduce their former star.

Jumping on the Star Wars bandwagon brought about by Rise of the Skywalker and The Mandalorian, the person in charge of the speakers at the Smoothie King Center blasted a familiar tune that got plenty of disgruntled fans smiling.

The timing is just too good: everyone is high for Star Wars season, and the person who was supposed to be the Pelicans' Chosen One made his return as a traitor and a star of a different team.

However, it's not like Darth Brow-der cares about the negativity. His Lakers are at the top of the West with their 15-2 record. He's averaging 25.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists a night. He has LeBron James on his team.

AD doesn't care if he's treated like Sith as long as his team will get the W.
