Back in the April of 2015, former Knicks player Chris Copeland was stabbed outside the 1 OAK Club in Manhattan by a U.S. army veteran named Shevoy Bleary-Murdock.

Originally, the man only had to serve one month of weekends behind bars. But, just under a year and a half later, Bleart-Murdock has been convicted of another crime: identity theft.

As reported by Shayna Jacobs of the New York Daily News, Bleary-Murdock has been sentenced to 60 days in jail. In addition, he'll be on probation for five years.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Gregory Carro warned Bleary-Murdock to not fall into a trap with his actions:

“Maybe you do this because, apparently, you like going to clubs and it's beyond your means regardless of how hard you work,” Carro said.

“It's a type of club where there's NBA players there. I'm sure it's a pretty expensive deal,” the judge added.

Copeland played for the Milwaukee Bucks in a minor role last season, averaging just 2.1 points and 0.5 assists per game in 24 appearances. This year, he hopes to get more action with the New Orleans Pelicans.
