Benson's case is yet another manifestation of how this dreaded virus spares no one — regardless of one's stature. Benson is one of the wealthiest women in America, and even she tested positive for COVID-19. It's great to hear that she has since recovered, and the fact that she did not require hospitalization — despite her advanced age — is a testament to her health.

This serves as a tremendous update for the Saints who are just days away from the NFL season officially kicking off. New Orleans opens their campaign with a matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 13. As it appears, Benson was not going to let even the coronavirus prevent her from supporting her team in the season opener. She certainly needs to thank her lucky stars that she was spared by this virus, which has claimed nearly hundreds of thousands of lives worldwide.

As for the Pelicans, it's back to the drawing board for them following a disappointing run inside the Disney World bubble. They struggled for pretty much the entire time inside the isolated campus, and face a very interesting offseason, with several key personnel decisions on the horizon.
