One of the biggest plays in Game 4 of the matchup between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Portland Trail Blazers was when Jrue Holiday somehow stayed inbounds late in the fourth quarter.

It was originally ruled that he stepped out of bounds but after a review, it was determined that he stayed in bounds but only by the slightest of margins.

It gave the Pelicans an extra possession that, at the time, was huge. They ended up winning the game by eight points, but that was one of the biggest turning points in the game. After the contest, Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry gave a shoutout to Kobe Bryant for making shoes that exact size.

“I just like to thank Kobe Bryant and his Kobe 1's because if he didn't have those nice Kobe 1's he would have probably been down and on the sideline but because he was wearing those good ol' Kobe 1's his heals were up and he wasn't out of bounds and that's how we got the ball back. How's that for kissing ass?”

That play might have saved the Pelicans from having to go back to Portland for another game and you never know what could have happened. That could have just been the momentum that the Trail Blazers needed to make a comeback in the series.

As it sits now, the Pelicans moved on and will play the winner of the series between the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs.
