New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday will miss his sixth straight game on Thursday when the Pelicans take on the Utah Jazz.
Holiday still has pain in his elbow:
Gentry says Jrue Holiday, JJ Redick and Jahlil Okafor will be out tonight.
Brandon Ingram and Derrick Favors will probably play.

Jrue Holiday has appeared in 34 games this season for the Pelicans. He’s averaging 19.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists while shooting 43.8 percent from the field, 34.2 percent from beyond the arc and 70.8 percent from the free-throw line.
Holiday’s name has come up in trade rumors recently since the Pelicans appear to be on their way to missing the playoffs. New Orleans, publicly and privately, has made it clear they want to keep the 29-year-old guard this season and see what he looks like with No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson on the court.
Williamson is expected to make his NBA debut on Jan. 22 against the San Antonio Spurs.
Holiday is making $26.2 million this season, owed $26.2 million next season and has a player option worth $27.1 million for the 2021-22 campaign. The Pelicans are currently 13th in the West with a 15-26 record, though it’s worth noting they are coming off a road win over the Detroit Pistons.
Article Continues BelowCould the Pelicans make a surprise run to the playoffs once Williamson comes back and gets into a rhythm? Stranger things have happened in the NBA, so we can’t fully rule out that possibility.
