Former NBA player Kendrick Perkins isn't afraid to admit he's wrong, and he did so when he apologized to New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball for recently calling him a bust.

Lonzo Ball has been playing the best basketball of his career. In the past four games, Ball has been averaging 23.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.5 steal while shooting 53.6 percent. He has certainly stepped up these past couple of weeks after struggling with injuries at the start of the season.
After returning to the starting lineup at the end of December, the Pelicans have earned statement wins over the Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers.
Article Continues BelowThe former lottery pick didn't quite live up to the hype in his time with the Los Angeles Lakers. In his first two seasons with the Purple and Gold, he averaged just 10.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists while shooting 38.0 percent.
After having an underachieving start to his career, the Lakers decided to include him in a blockbuster trade for superstar Anthony Davis. Many believed the LA franchise won that trade, but the impressive performances of Brandon Ingram and Ball this season can make some reconsider that thought.
The Pelicans are currently 14th in the Western Conference with a 12-25 record; however, they're only four games behind the eighth seed. With Zion Williamson expected to return to the lineup this January, the Pelicans could most certainly stage a run for the lower playoff seeds.
