The 6-foot-6 point guard had been the Lakers' prized possession when they drafted him with the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. While he showed flashes of brilliance, Ball wasn't consistent throughout his first two years in the NBA.

For the most part, Ball has struggled to stay on the floor due to injuries. He played just 52 games in his rookie season and appeared in just 47 contests in his sophomore campaign. Nevertheless, Ball showed major strides last season, especially on defense.

With New Orleans, he gets a fresh start on this up-and-coming squad. The Pelicans feature an awesome core of No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson, Derrick Favors, fellow former Lakers teammates Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart, and veteran guards Jrue Holiday and JJ Redick.

Lonzo Ball will get a first crack to take down his former team when the Lakers visit Smoothie King Arena on Nov. 27. Likewise, he'll get a chance to show Lakers fans they'll regret trading him away when he visits Staples Center for the first time as a visitor on Jan. 3.
