New Orleans Pelicans All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins has become one of the most talented all-around big men in the league.

Cousins put that on display on Thursday night against the Toronto Raptors as he crossed over Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas and nailed a 3-pointer.

In the last couple of seasons, Cousins has added the 3-point shot to his repertoire as he's currently on pace for a career-best campaign in his first full season with the Pelicans averaging a career-high 28.2 points on 45.8 percent shooting from the field and 32.3 percent from beyond the arc with 13.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, a 1.7 steals and 1.8 blocks per game. He is currently the only player in the league averaging at least 28 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per contest.

The inclusion of the 3-point shot, which he's taking a career-high 7.8 attempts per game this season, has made him an even more difficult player to defend for opposing teams. What has also helped his effectiveness on the floor is the fact that he's playing alongside another All-Star big man in Anthony Davis.

If Cousins can remain healthy and continue this torrid pace, he could put up the best season of his NBA career while earning a lucrative long-term deal next summer.
