Lonzo Ball has received a lot of criticism after being selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draftr by the Los Angeles Lakers. After being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans this offseason in the Anthony Davis trade, hopes were high that he could figure things out away from the bright lights of L.A.
Following an 0-3 start to the season, the Pelicans are locked into a battle with the Golden State Warriors tonight. Ball has made his presence known in the game.
Late in the second quarter, Ball came through with a big steal and score. His defense has been underrated throughout his career, but the Pelicans are reaping the benefits.
Take a look at Ball's impressive play on both ends of the court for yourself:

If Ball can figure things out, the Pelicans are going to be in fairly good shape moving forward. Brandon Ingram has also been having a breakout season early this year. New Orleans is hoping to see the Davis trade pan out the way they hope with Ball coming into his own.
