Tuesday's game between the Portland Trail Blazers and the New Orleans Pelicans had to be decided in the final moments. Damian Lillard drained a free-throw to give his team a one-point lead with 1.2 seconds left. The Pelicans had no timeouts left so it would be safe to assume that the Blazers would end up with the win. But Lonzo Ball and Zion Williamson had something up their sleeve which almost worked.

After Lillard knocked down the free-throw, Ball immediately delivered a perfect inbound heave to Williamson. The second-year man caught the ball in a great rhythm for a little hook shot right outside the paint. But Williamson might have added some extra mustard on his shot, which sailed a bit off from the momentum.
Pelicans fans would've gone berserk if Zion's shot went in. Game-winners are always great, but a full-court connection to win it always gets fans off their seats.
The loss was a tough one to swallow for Zion Williamson and the Pelicans. It was a close game against a perennial playoff team, however they seemed to have the game at hand leading by as much as 17 points in the final frame. Despite falling short of expectations thus far, is still seems like the Pelicans can put it together very soon. They just need to make sure meltdowns like this never happen.
