Despite reportedly going their separate ways now, Carmelo Anthony and Lala Vasquez are technically still married. That said, the New York Knicks forward does not want anybody hitting on her yet.

During his appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show ”last Wednesday, comedian and actor Chris Rock took his chance on her by making it known publicly, via Steve Del Vecchio of Larry Brown Sports, what he thinks of her. He also acknowledged that she and Anthony may still be married, but he still decided to make a pass on her.

“If La La is interested in going short next time… La La is bad, woo! Hey, they’re married; you’re not supposed to mess with other team’s players. But she’s hot though! She looked great the other night. La La will you? La La let’s go to ‘La La Land!”

The comedian could be joking with his comments, but apparently Anthony did not appreciate it. According to the DailyMail UK, the 10-time All-Star even sent text messages to his friends as he was really mad after hearing Rock’s comments.

“But estranged husband Carmelo Anthony, 33, was left fuming after hearing Rock's comments on the show”

“The NBA star who has been trying to salvage his relationship, texted friends: ‘Did y'all see this bulls**t? This n**** on TV trying to scoop up my wife”

While Chris Rock's true intentions remain unclear, it’s not hard to imagine where Anthony is coming from, especially since it’s no secret that he’s still trying to save their marriage.
