It can be recalled that the New York Knicks‘ point guard's ex-girlfriend filed a $21.5 million lawsuit against him and his friends for a gang-rape incident that supposedly occurred two years ago. Rose was cleared by a jury for all charges but he made a request for $70,000 to be paid by the accuser to cover for all the costs he had to shoulder. The woman declined to pay the amount and claimed that she is broke.

Her “aggressive pursuit of false claims in this court and in the media have taken an enormous, costly, and irreparable toll on Mr. Rose and his public image and reputation.”
The New York faithful are hoping that this will not serve as a distraction to their new starting point guard as he has played solid basketball at the start of the campaign. Rose is averaging 14.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.8 assists, making solid contributions to a team that's looking to turn around its fortunes and make noise in the Eastern Conference this season.
