Heading into the offseason, there will be plenty of intriguing questions surrounding the New York Knicks regarding the fate of their roster.
One of the more pressing topics will be what the Knicks decided to do with former NBA MVP Derrick Rose, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming summer. According to Bleacher Report, Rose has once again voiced a strong desire to remain in New York next season and beyond.
“Derrick loves New York and wants to be there,” Rose's agent, B.J. Armstrong, told Bleacher Report recently. “We've expressed that to them and been very consistent about it. Whether it happens is on them; all we can do is be clear.”
The 28-year-old has been quite clear with his hopes to stay with the Knicks through much of last season despite the team's struggles. To this point, Armstrong also indicated that Rose is willing to take a pay cut in order to re-sign with them in free agency.

However, that could ultimately be out of his hands as New York may not share the same interest to bring him back. Keep in mind, he is coming off another surgery in April to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee that could create some real concerns on the team's behalf about his long-term health.
What should also be noted is that the Knicks could heighten their push to move on from Carmelo Anthony in the offseason. There are simply many factors in play here that could all have an effect on how things go with their handling of Rose's future with the team.
