After only 18 games into the New York Knicks season, point guard Derrick Rose already knows he only wants to wear orange and blue for the remainder of his career.

“I'm under a one-year contract, so of course I want to play the rest of my life here,” Rose told Peter Walsh of SLAM Online. “But it takes time, it takes patience to figure out how everyone is going to fit, if it is going to fit, and going from there.”

Starting the season with some growing pains, the Knicks have regained their edge as of late, winning six of their last nine games and reaching triple digits in seven of them. As their offense and transition game develop, it wouldn't be surprising if the Knicks can finally find their calling card and muster to crack the middle playoff spots of the East.

“Finding out how we're going to win games, we got 10 new people on the team — it's not like they had a foundation here and we came right into it,” Rose said. “We're building the culture. We're building the foundation now.”

The 28-year-old Derrick Rose is averaging 16.4 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game, mostly resembling his output from last season.
