Following the sudden exit of Phil Jackson as president of the New York Knicks, a number of possible replacements have already emerged. Toronto Raptors general manager and president Masai Ujiri has been rumored to be on top of the team's list to take over the Zen Master's post, but it's still unclear whether he'll accept a potential offer.

Today, it came out that Kentucky head coach John Calipari called the Knicks to inquire about the front office vacancy, but according to ESPN's Ian Begley, the team does not have interest in him for now:

“Kentucky head coach John Calipari reached out to knicks through intermediaries to express interest in the Knicks presidency, per ESPN league sources. The Knicks do not have interest in Calipari at the moment, per league sources.”

Calipari is widely considered as one of the best coaches in college basketball, leading the Wildcats to multiple conference championships and a national title back in 2012. He has also coached some of the NBA's biggest stars today, including John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, and Karl-Anthony Towns, just to name a few.

The Knicks do not appear to be in a hurry to hire a new president as they still have their GM, Steve Mills, at the helm, currently handling their day-to-day operations. However, it's still expected that they will hire one soon, especially with the start of free agency on Saturday.
