The New York Knicks are expected to make a lot of changes to their personnel this summer. After yet another disappointing season, the weaknesses of their players have been exposed, and most of them are on the defensive end.
With a need to have a point guard who can thrive on both ends of the floor, it has been reported that the team may look to re-engage the Minnesota Timberwolves in trade talks centered around Ricky Rubio, according to Ian Begley of ESPN.

It’s unclear if that interest remains, but Rubio would fit the mold of a two-way contributor.”
It can be recalled that the 26-year-old Spanish international was already linked to the Knicks earlier this season, but nothing materialized, and he still finished the campaign wearing a Wolves jersey.
However, their interest in him might also depend on who they will select in next month's draft. The Knicks own the eighth pick in a guard-heavy lottery, and if they'll be able to add a two-way guard to their fold, they might not pursue Rubio anymore and turn their focus on the other positions that they want to improve.
