Marcus Morris is one of the players on the New York Knicks who could draw plenty of trade interest from playoff teams now that trade season has officially begun.

The Knicks won't make the playoffs this season and Morris is on a team-friendly deal. He's making $15 million this season and becomes an unrestricted free agent next summer.

One Eastern Conference executive who spoke to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report believes Morris “could be valuable to a contender.”

“Morris could be valuable to a contender. He's tough and can shoot, has playoff experience. Just don't expect the San Antonio Spurs to go after him,” an Eastern Conference executive said, referencing how Morris reneged on a contract with the Spurs over the summer.

In 25 games this season for the Knicks, Morris is averaging 18.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists. He's shooting 42.7 percent from the field, 47.3 percent from beyond the arc and 85.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Morris has said he's built for New York City and doesn't want the Knicks to trade him. However, since he doesn't have a no-trade clause in his contract, Morris can be dealt at any moment.

Now 30, Morris has career averages of 11.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 570 NBA games.
