New York Knicks fans made sure to let Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young know that he is not welcome in Madison Square Garden.
As the Hawks enter the arena to start the contest, the thousands of Knicks fans in attendance booed the hell out of Young and his team. Of course, it doesn't look like the third-year sharpshooter was affected at all, as he has completely embraced the villain role in the Big Apple.

This is normal playoff atmosphere, and it's not the first time Knicks fans have rallied to support the team in the playoffsāthough it has been seven long years since they tasted the postseason.
Trae Young, for his part, have accepted the challenge and is now up against the whole New York fan base. During Game 1, the Knicks crowd showered him with āF**k youā chants before the Hawks sharpshooter drained the game-winning floater. Young then did the shush gesture to hit back with the disrespect, effectively silencing everyone.
The Knicks need to bounce back in Game 2 before the series heads to Atlanta, and so they really need to take advantage of the home crowd to power them. Besides, Hawks fans are expected to pay back all the jeers to Julius Randle and Co. when the series shifts to their city.
