It doesn't look like the Big Apple's hatred of Trae Young has diminished one bit. Young, who became the Joker to New York sports' Batman after leading the Atlanta Hawks to a first-round win over the New York Knicks in the 2021 NBA Playoffs, is even getting the ire of New York Yankees fans — the same fans who recently started a profane chant at Yankee Stadium targeted at Young during a home game against the Boston Red Sox.

The Red Sox are, of course, the no. 1 villain for Yankees fans, but Yankees supporters apparently have enough reserve of hate for the Knicks' bête noire.

Young, meanwhile, likely has no time for his critics from the state of New York at the moment. Unlike the Knicks, Young and the Hawks will be playing beyond the regular season, with Atlanta making it to the play-in tournament phase. The Hawks will be hosting the Charlotte Hornets this coming Wednesday. A loss for the Hawks would mean an early vacation for Atlanta, while a victory would advance the team to the next stage of the play-in, which is a showdown with the loser of the Brooklyn Nets-Cleveland Cavaliers game for the no. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.
