Anthony Davis would reportedly consider re-signing with the New York Knicks if he felt he could be successful with the franchise, according to Ian Begley of SNY.

Davis has requested a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Knicks are expected to reach out to David Griffin this summer to discuss a Davis trade. AD can become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2020.

If New York gets the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, they would likely select Duke star Zion Williamson and could package him in a trade for Davis. However, Begley reports no consensus within the Knicks organization on whether they would include the 2019 No. 1 pick in a deal for Davis or any other star.

The Knicks have been heavily linked to signing Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in free agency this summer. Davis would certainly re-sign with New York if KD and Uncle Drew are by his side. That would be a lethal Big Three which could contend for an NBA title.

The Knicks have been a walking disaster for years. This is a big summer for the organization. It's wishful thinking to suggest the Knicks will have Irving, Durant and Davis on the team next season, but it's not impossible.
