The New York Knicks hold the number nine pick in the draft, and they will be flying out next to Chicago to meet Michael Porter Jr., according to Adam Zagoria of SportsNet New York.
Coming into his freshman year with the Missouri Tigers, many believed that Porter would be the first pick in the draft. He was sidelined for most of the year because of a back injury, and there are still questions about it, which has slid him down many draft boards.
Porter Jr. wasn't afraid to boast about himself at the draft combine, declaring himself the best in the draft, and that could be true if he can stay healthy.

Porter Jr. also met with the Knicks at the draft combine and would love the opportunity to play for them.
“It'd be awesome [to play for the Knicks],” he said, per the Daily News. “I kind of asked them a couple questions: Where do you live in New York? Do you own a car?
Porter Jr. said in a 2017 interview that he sees himself as Tracy McGrady or Kevin Durant.
“Yeah, I do, too,” Porter said via ZagsBlog. “Recently, it's been more like Tracy McGrady back in the day. I've gotten that a lot. Paul George sometimes. But KD's always in there. Just the bigger wings. I like to say I have my own game, but yeah. Kind of like Brandon but more explosive, so it's kind of like an in-between thing. I wouldn't like to label myself as one player, like KD or like Tracy McGrady, but those are some comparisons.”
