If this past season was any indication of how the New York Knicks are as an organization, it might be stating the obvious that they are not in the most ideal of states. Numerous issues surrounded them throughout the year, and their team president, Phil Jackson, has not made their situation better, no thanks to the shots he made against Carmelo Anthony.
This summer will be a huge one for the franchise, as they will need to make important decisions that could affect them for the next couple of seasons. They may ultimately decide to revamp the entire roster and trade Anthony — and even Kristaps Porzingis. However, they could be risking not receiving any player with the same stature as those two studs as New York isn't perceived as a top free agent destination.

The Knicks are definitely in an unenvious position as it will be very difficult for them to lure other big names to play for them. Their now infamous offensive scheme, the triangle offense, has also proven to be a non-favorite among players, which adds up to their qualms of bringing their talents to the Big Apple.
It will be very interesting to see how things will unfold for the Knicks this summer, and how the team will look once next season starts. There may be a lot of uncertainties for them now, but with the Zen Master on board, it will also be hard to completely count them out, especially with his experience and knowledge.
