The New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls, who have both included their franchise players in a lot of trade discussions lately, are also both reportedly interested in top prospect Josh Jackson.

With the teams owning the eighth and 16th overall selections respectively, their only chance of adding the projected top-five pick is to move up in the draft order. Those packages could possibly include Kristaps Porzingis or Jimmy Butler.

The obvious solution is to complete a trade with the Boston Celtics, who now have the third overall pick after trading the number one pick to the Philadelphia 76ers. They have also shown interest in the 20-year-old and will have the chance to draft him if the Sixers add Markelle Fultz and the Los Angeles Lakers pick Lonzo Ball as planned.

It's no secret that the C's are also in pursuit of another star who will give them a better chance of competing for a title next season. Adding Porzingis or Butler certainly addresses that need

Another option for the Knicks and Bulls is to make a trade with the Phoenix Suns, who own the fourth overall pick on Thursday night. However, if the Celtics select Jackson, their efforts will go for naught.

Only two days remain before the draft. It will be very interesting to see how things unfold for all the aforementioned teams. Even though it's already the offseason, it's still a very exciting time for NBA fans.
