The New York Knicks are still trying to figure out who they are under new head coach Jeff Hornacek while Phil Jackson keeps a close eye on how things are running.

The triangle experiment has not worked well and the transition away from it, while still trying to maintain some of the same principles hasn't gone too well either.

Just listen to what an NBA scout had to say about the Knicks, via Bleacher Report:

“I was a little shocked at how little creativity there was in the offense,” the scout said, according to Bleacher Report. “It was very strange. There were a lot of isolation post-ups, some very standard pick-and-rolls. I was expecting more.

“I'm not out there coaching so I don't actually know what the game plan is, but, based on Jeff's experience, and how Phil is always preaching about moving the ball, I guess I was just expecting more.”

That's not what anyone would want to hear about their team.

The Knicks look like they could return to the playoffs this season after a decent start. The new additions and continued blossoming of Kristaps Porzingis has helped a lot.

But there is still room for improvement, which can clearly be seen form the words of this scout.
