Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Chris Paul is definitely not a fan of the NCAA's new memorandum pertaining to the eligibility of sports agents who want to potentially represent NCAA players. As a matter of fact, the nine-time All-Star did not hold back when he said that he is absolutely not on the same boat with the folks who passed this new ruling.
I COMPLETELY disagree with the NCAA’s decision. Some life experiences are as valuable, if not more, than diplomas… Y’all need to rethink this process. This is crazy!

Paul does not like the new rule one bit, which now requires wannabe agents to hold a college diploma, among other things. This probably felt like a personal attack for the 6-foot point guard, who himself entered the NBA after two years at Wake Forest University. Obviously, Paul himself is not a holder of a college diploma, so he has been incensed by the NCAA's implication that people without diplomas do not meet their association's high standards.
Article Continues BelowPaul has gone a long way from his college playing years, as he now enters his 15th season in the league. The former Rookie of the Year winner is in a bit of a crossroads right now, with the Thunder not looking to compete for a title in the foreseeable future.
A franchise in the midst of a full rebuild with a focus on youth development is not exactly the best place to be for a 34-year-old veteran like Paul. While it is now looking that he will be starting the season with OKC, a move away from the Thunder is definitely a likely scenario for CP3 somewhere down the line.
