The Orlando Magic's City Edition jerseys were officially released on Thursday and the jerseys keep the celestial-theme that was present in the team's 2017-18 City Edition jerseys. The starry design is located on the sides of the jersey rather than the entire jersey, as was the case with the 2017-18 jerseys.

In an official NBA press release, the jerseys are described as:

The uniform keeps the iconic symbol for the Magic over the years front and center and features a shimmery cosmic look and feel. Symbolic of reaching beyond the limits, the City Edition breaks from the team’s pinstripe tradition for a unique take on the Magic name.”
These jerseys follow a simple design and for Magic fans, they could be a nice addition to the wardrobe. That being said, these jerseys probably won't interest the average fan like that of the Denver Nuggets or the Minnesota Timberwolves. The jerseys are simple and clean, but there isn't much of a backstory and the design doesn't pop enough to make it must-have.
The City Edition jerseys have been a resounding success for the NBA. It's another opportunity for the NBA to sell more apparel and the fans seem to be buying in. They show a connection between the team and its city. Unfortunately, the Orlando Magic's jerseys don't live up to some of the other City Edition jerseys around the league, but these are a decent option for the diehard Magic fan out there.
