The New Orleans Pelicans have gotten the ball rolling after winning their third straight game in a 128-113 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. Although it seems like the Pelicans' starters simply lit up the scoreboard on this night, they had plenty of help getting in position from point guard Rajon Rondo.

Rondo finished the game with just two points and seven rebounds. However, his career-high 25 assists (the entire Nets team had a total of 26) on the night broke the Pelicans' franchise record for most dimes in a single game.

Needless to say, Rajon Rondo joined some pretty elite company with his impressive feat. Aside from making Pelicans franchise history, Rondo also became the first player to dish out that many assists since future Hall of Famer Jason Kidd did it back in 1996.

There is always talk about finding that player who can impact the game without scoring. That said, Rondo has been a prime example of that ever since he came into the league. Aside from his porous shot, the veteran point guard always manages to be one of the league's primary assists leaders no matter what team he is on.

He now finds himself in an ideal situation playing alongside two of the best big men in the game. After missing the first month of the season, Rajon Rondo has seemingly established his role as this team's bonafide dime-maker for the time being.
