The Philadelphia 76ers announced Saturday that Amber Denise Streeter, known as singer Sevyn Streeter, will sing the national anthem, at the Wells Fargo Center when the Sixers face off against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Streeter was booked to sing at the Sixers home opener when she was suddenly pulled prior to the start of the anthem.

The Sixers reason for the decline was due to wanting no parts of controversy because of jersey she wore with the words ‘We Matter’ emblazoned on the front.

Instead the situation escalated attention to the matter, which led to the Sixers publicly apologizing to Streeter.
