The talk of the NBA right now is surrounding disgruntled Sixers star Ben Simmons, who is back in Philly to try and raise his trade stock. Things aren't going so smooth though, with Doc Rivers even booting the Aussie out of practice earlier this week and suspending him for the season opener. Amid all the drama, Philadelphia Eagles veteran Jason Kelce has chimed in and offered Simmons a bit of advice.
Check out this savagery. Via John Clark of NBC Sports Philly:
Jason Kelce on Ben Simmons🔥🔥
"Everybody can bitch and complain about how tough this city is to play in. Just play better, man. This city will love you”

Kelce does have a point. If the Sixers guard did turn things around and start to play better again, the fans would have literally no choice but to love him. Instead, he's playing the blame game and not really showing an interest in contributing.
There's no doubt that both sides are at fault, though. The Sixers put him in a position in the playoffs last season where he was destined to fail. Simmons was clearly struggling, but Philly didn't seem to care.
A fresh start is probably what's best for the 25-year-old at this point because it doesn't exactly look like this relationship with the Sixers is going to be mended. However, for the time being, Simmons should at least be trying to improve for himself if nobody else so he can ultimately get out of town.
