After being sent home during the Philadelphia 76ers' morning shootaround on Tuesday due to illness, Dario Saric will still play on the night, and will start against the Indiana Pacers. The development has been confirmed by Keith Pompey of the Philly Inquirer, who took to his Twitter account recently to share the news.

It was initially reported that the 23-year-old Croatian international was originally listed as questionable, as he was apparently is suffering from gastroentiritis and was not healthy enough to participate in the shootaround. However, the news is a very good sign for the Sixers, as Saric is a key part of head coach Brett Brown's rotation, and has been playing very well of late, producing 20.5 points and 6.7 rebounds in their last four games.

Despite having a slow start to the season, Saric has been able to show a lot of improvement this season, following his already impressive rookie campaign last year. Through 64 games, the 6-foot-10 big man is averaging solid numbers of 15.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 30.6 minutes. More importantly, he compliments his teammates' games well, and has made it possible for the 76ers to be in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, and are looking geared to make it to the playoffs for the first time in six years.

With the confirmation that he will be able to play and start against the Pacers, the team is expected to have the same rotation. Ersan Ilyasova will come off the bench behind Saric, but could still see some extra run if the coaching staff decides to give him some extra minutes to rest on the night.
