While their star big man is currently hurt, head coach Doc Rivers hasn't changed his stance on what the Sixers are looking to accomplish this season, per the Philly Voice's Kyle Neubeck:

Rivers is a winner and Philly brought him in for just that reason. However, the Sixers haven't progressed past the second round since the early 2000s. The Conference semifinals have been their kryptonite and the Atlanta Hawks won't be an easy task.

With Embiid sidelined, for the time being, Philadelphia is going to need Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris to rise up along with several role players. Containing Trae Young is certainly a key to victory for the Sixers, with Simmons likely given the job of guarding the Atlanta star.

Philly has really looked good this season. While the Bucks and Nets pose a serious threat to their road to the NBA finals, if Embiid is healthy, this club can beat anyone. But, it's going to take a full team effort to finally get to a Conference final and hopefully, beyond.
