The Philadelphia 76ers' trade with the Brooklyn Nets was arguably the biggest trade ahead of the 2022 NBA Trade Deadline. The Nets got Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and two first-round picks in exchange for James Harden and Paul Millsap.
The headliners for this trade are Simmons and Harden. Simmons hasn't played for the Sixers since they were knocked out of the 2021 NBA Playoffs in Game 7 of the second round. Meanwhile, Harden missed six of his last eight games in Brooklyn. While he has been dealing with a hamstring injury, he likely sat out because of the impending trades and tensions with his team.
According to ESPN, Harden left the team before the deal was even final. “Harden informed them that he was returning to Houston on Wednesday to wait out the deadline, sources said.”

The star didn't play in Tuesday night loss against the Boston Celtics, told his team that he was leaving New York on Wednesday, and was officially traded on Thursday. The deal was finalized and publicized less than two hours before the 2022 NBA Trade Deadline.
The Sixers have games Friday and Saturday night, but Harden won't be making his Philadelphia debut just yet. He will be evaluated by Sixers' medical staff over the weekend and could potentially play in Sixers vs Boston Celtics game Tuesday night.
