Hours before the 2022 NBA Trade Deadline, the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets completed the blockbuster James Harden-Ben Simmons trade. The Sixers and Simmons both wanted the point guard out of Philadelphia. Simmons refused to play for his team and the Sixers refused to pay him, so a trade was inevitable.

Joel Embiid joined ‘The Draymond Green Show' with the Golden State Warriors star himself Tuesday. During the show, Green explained how he viewed Embiid's role in the trade.

“You expressed your dismay with the situation. You expressed like “get him out of here then,” like, you expressed all of that,” Green said.

Before he could continue, Embiid interrupted, clearing the air.

“I never said that, to ‘get him out of there.' I just didn't understand what was going on honestly…I didn't understand, like, what happened and what led up to that whole situation. To this day, I don't understand,” the Sixers big man said.

Embiid went on to say that he “doesn't have any problems” with Simmons, despite not winning a championship together.

However, Embiid trolled his former teammate via Twitter right after news broke of the trade. In his tweet, Embiid indirectly called Simmons one of his biggest haters.

But Embiid trolls people all the time. His Twitter name is literally “Joel “Troel” Embiid.” Two months ago, he trolled Orlando Magic center Mo Bamba after dropping 50 points on him.

Embiid might be a trickster, but don't get the story twisted. He has no problem with his former teammate, despite rumors and reports.
