The Philadelphia 76ers walked into the locker room with a 67-52 lead over the Toronto Raptors in Game 2 of their 2022 NBA Playoffs matchup. Led by star center Joel Embiid, who had a game-high 19 points at the half, the Sixers appeared to be in control of the contest, just as they were during their victory in the first game of the series. However, the Sixers received an injury scare when Embiid limped off to the locker room, as reported by ESPN's Tim Bontemps.
Joel Embiid is limping to the locker room. After that last collision he was grabbing at his left foot/ankle, and then on the last defensive possession he came up hobbling again. Didn't try to do much and then limped to the locker room at halftime.

Per Bontemps, Embiid appeared to have his foot stepped on by teammate James Harden, leading to the former walking off with a slight limp. Fortunately for the Sixers, Embiid was out on the court for the start of the second half.
The star Sixers center was still walking with a slight limp when he entered the court for the second half of the contest against the Raptors, though he slammed home an alley-oop on his first possession, an encouraging sight for fans to see.
It appears that the Sixers avoided a real injury scare with Embiid, though his foot will definitely be something for Sixers fans to monitor throughout the end of the game vs. the Raptors- and the NBA Playoffs.
After all, Philly will go as far as Embiid can take them.
