Since going down with a strange injury, not a lot has been heard about the real situation of Markelle Fultz. Recently though, Philadelphia 76ers president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo gave an update on his recovery but still did not share the exact timetable for the Sixers rookie.
Colangelo, though, expects Fultz to ramp up his conditioning in order to try and make a return this season.
The uncertainty of his future has divided the opinion of many about this season's top overall draftee, but Joel Embiid made it known that he has a good relationship with Fultz, and added, via Kyle Neubeck of The Philly Voice, that he thinks not a lot of people are supporting the rookie.
The All-Star center then said that it's hard for a 19-year-old to go through what he's dealing with especially having minimal support.

After being selected first overall in last June's draft, high expectations were already placed on the young shoulders of Fultz, especially with the Sixers being an up-and-coming team with a lot of talent in their roster. With the Washington product in their fold, it makes the Sixers an even more dangerous team, but he has not seen a lot of action for the team yet, missing out on all but four games this season.
Embiid's comments could be a call for his teammates, coaching staff, and front office to give the young point guard more support. He definitely understands how tough it is to be injured, having missed his first two years after getting drafted.
