The Philadelphia 76ers are 31-19 this season, despite dealing with injuries and the Ben Simmons dilemma, and are a half-game behind first place of the Eastern Conference.

Many people are questioning if the Sixers can win with their current lineup, given how well they've played. Obviously, if a deal for Ben Simmons is completed and they believe it would improve their squad, they will be in an even better position than they are now.

ESPN Analyst Kendrick Perkins had this to say about the Sixers and their title chances during NBA on ESPN,

“Philadelphia has an underrated squad. … [Tyrese Maxey] is a flat-out young star … I love the way this team is constructed right now.”

Kendrick Perkins believes that this Sixers squad has a chance to win a championship, and he may not be wrong. Joel Embiid is playing to his normal form just as he has been in the previous several seasons, and if he can stay healthy, he has a good chance of being named NBA MVP and leading his team to an NBA title.

It's difficult to say whether this Sixers team could beat the Milwaukee Bucks, Brooklyn Nets, or Miami Heat in a playoff series right now, but they're clearly playing high-level basketball during the regular season, and if they can just get the right guy back for Ben Simmons, they'll be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time.
