Stephen Curry's pursuit of the all-time 3-point shots crown was stifled by the Philadelphia 76ers, who beat Curry's Golden State Warriors by holding him to just 3-14 shooting. The Sixers held the Warriors to just 93 points, their first time scoring less than 95 this season.
Philly holds Golden State to a season-low 93 points, and Stephen Curry to 3-for-14 shooting, as the Sixers claim a 102-93 victory. Joel Embiid had 26-9-4 for Philly, which got great bench production and overwhelmed Golden State all night defensively.

Defensive extraordinaire Matisse Thybulle played a big part in slowing Curry down. The Sixers' wing blocked two of his shots from beyond the arc, which no player had ever done before in one game.
This is just the 2nd time Stephen Curry had multiple 3-point attempts blocked in a single game.

Thybulle's quick reflexes, ability to avoid screens and long arms allow him to be a total menace on the defensive end. He has put his skills to good use as a bench player for Philadelphia, earning All-Defensive Second Team honors last season.
Tonight's win was a big one for the Sixers, who took down the NBA's best team behind a dominant performance from Joel Embiid. Philly's injury-riddled season has been severely unfortunate for the title hopeful. With the trade market for Ben Simmons heating up, the Sixers could concoct a trade that puts them in the conversation with the Eastern Conference's very best teams.
Curry is still within 10 triples of setting the record, so tonight's poor shooting didn't hamper his pursuit of history. Fortunately for him, he doesn't have to face Thybulle again this season (unless Philadelphia trades him) so he should be able to add to his record without severe interference.
