Already playing shorthanded in their guard rotation with Markelle Fultz continuing to recover from his injury, the Philadelphia 76ers will also be thin in their frontcourt, as their starting small forward, Robert Covington, will miss at least the team's next two games with a back contusion, according to Keith Pompey of the Philly Inquirer.

The 26-year-old Tennessee State product suffered the injury late in their game on Saturday versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Covington tried to save the ball from going out of bounds, and fell behind the Cavs bench, hitting some boxes and sharp points, according to the commentators covering the game.

This is definitely a huge blow to the Sixers, who have been struggling recently, losing three consecutive games. Robert Covington is enjoying his best season as a pro this year, with career-high averages of 15.3 points, and 1.9 assists, to go along with 6.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 32.2 minutes of playing time.
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot is expected to see an uptick in his usage, and will take the place of Covington in the starting lineup. Furkan Korkmaz could also receive more playing time, with Dario Saric possibly seeing some minutes at the small forward spot as well, depending on matchups.
