Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris isn't really known for monster slams. But on Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets, the Sixers forward slammed one down over none other than star guard Kyrie Irving.
Peep the clip below from ESPN to witness Harris spike one over Irving. Props to Irving for putting his body on the line. But on this one, it would've been wiser to step out of the way.

Another look at the play shows Ben Simmons‘ playmaking abilities, too. After getting the rebound, notice how he's already looking for the open man. Once he saw Harris streaking, he quickly delivered the perfect outlet pass. All Harris had to do was finish strong. And he did just that over two defenders.

This is one of the reasons why the Sixers have achieved so much success this season. Since entering the league, Simmons has always been a gifted playmaker. But this season, he seems to have evolved into a better overall player.
As for Harris, who's tagged as the third star behind Simmons and Joel Embiid, he, too, has grown into a more mature player. Doc Rivers‘ presence helps as Harris had an excellent run with the Clippers under the tutelage of the 2008 champion coach.
This year marks Harris' second season with the Sixers. And from the looks of it, he has already developed excellent chemistry with his squad.
Philly is mired in a tight position battle with the Nets for the East's top spot.
