Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons has been making headlines of late amid rumors surrounding a potential move away from the Sixers. Right now, though, the 25-year-old's name is being dragged into a rather shocking controversy with an entirely different context.

Actor Michael Blackson, who claims to be close friends (or at least he used to be) with Simmons made some astounding allegations against the Sixers guard involving some inappropriate activity on social media. According to Blackson, Simmons secretly sent direct messages to Blackson's girlfriend — an act that the actor says led to his falling out with Ben:

For his part, Simmons is currently dating TV personality Maya Jama, and the pair was seen cozying it up at a recent Wimbledon event. Based on Blackson's allegations, Simmons sent the DM's back in June. If these accusations are true, does this mean that Simmons was shooting his shot with Blackson's girlfriend while he was already with Jama?

Blackson did not stop there. He also revealed in the interview that he “threw girls” at Simmons in the past — yet another shot at Ben's alleged womanizing ways.

This is the last thing Simmons needs right now. The Sixers stud just recently ended his four-week social media hiatus with an inspiring post about his journey in the NBA. Simmons is well aware of all the slander that has been thrown at his direction over the past weeks, and he's trying to take these all in stride.
