The Phoenix Suns are one of the more intriguing teams in the NBA because, despite some key role players not performing as well as the Suns had hoped for this season, they still have the best record in the league.

As bizarre as it seems, the Suns could have a busy trade deadline because they have a couple of players they might want to get rid of.

There are a lot of questions about this Suns team, and even if they win the NBA title, they will not have answered all of them.

3. Who needs to be traded?

Because a few players haven't played as well as they did a year ago, there will be some fascinating transactions for this Phoenix Suns team at the deadline. There's a chance that Cameron Payne, Jae Crowder, and others might be traded during the deadline. The Suns are likely to trade Jalen Smith in the hopes of receiving a favorable return in the form of a player that can come in and make an immediate impact for them.

Phoenix might make a tough decision by deciding to trade some of their current players in order to upgrade them with similar skillset players. They are in a unique predicament since Chris Paul is getting older in his career and their championship window isn't as large as many people believe. If they can't find another star to play alongside Devin Booker once Chris Paul retires, Phoenix could be in for another tough period like they were a few years ago.

They won't be as bad as they were a few years ago, but they won't be as much of a championship contender as they are right now, unless they can get that second star.

2. What is the DeAndre Ayton situation?

Championship or not for the Suns, this is going to be the biggest question about the organization this year.

DeAndre Ayton is reportedly seeking a max contract, despite the fact that he may not be as talented as a typical max contract player. What Phoenix must consider is that when he is not on the court, they are a very different team. When he isn't on the floor, they struggle defensively, and their offenses don't run as smoothly because they don't always have the pick-and-roll that they love to use when he is on the floor.

It will be intriguing to watch what they do with DeAndre Ayton, but either option may make sense. It could be a wise option for Phoenix to go out and get another big guy who they believe is better than him right now. DeAndre Ayton has times when he doesn't play to his potential and acts as though he's not a dominant big. He's too talented of a center not to be aggressive at the basket, which has led to the questioning from Phoenix's front office.

He has the potential to be one of the best centers in the NBA, but he doesn't always live up to the expectations of the Suns. He has nights where he demonstrates how dominant he can be, and then the following night he isn't doing nearly as much as he should be.

It will be tough for Phoenix to make a decision, but if they make the wrong one, it could hurt this team immensely in the future.

1. Do they have enough to get the job done this year?

It's difficult to argue that the Phoenix Suns haven't been the best team in basketball this season once again. They currently have the best record in the NBA, with a 33-9 record. They match up well against most Western Conference teams, and they have two players who can take over a game at any time. They also have some fantastic role players who haven't played as well this season as they did last year, but can turn things around at any time.

Some still think the Phoenix Suns' run to the finals last season was a fluke, but anyone who thinks that hasn't been watching this team for the past two seasons and hasn't been paying attention to the NBA. They have two superstars who are two of the best in the NBA, they defend at a high level, and can knock down a three-point shot.

This Phoenix Suns team is a title Contender and there's a very good chance that they are going to win an NBA title this season.
