Devin Booker was in no mood after his team's Game 3 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Phoenix Suns All-Star let his frustrations out even before the game ended, as he instigated a dangerous shove on Los Angeles guard Dennis Schroder.
Schroder was mid-flight when Booker made contact with him, which sent the Lakers guard hurtling sideways. To make matters worse, Jae Crowder had a chance to soften the blow, but amplified the situation by adding in a love tap of his own.

Booker was assessed a flagrant penalty two foul, which forced his automatic ejection from the game alongside Crowder.
Anthony Davis was quick to call out the play, condemning Booker's actions as “dirty” during the postgame interview.
“[That] can’t happen, you can’t do that,” said the Lakers big man after the contest.
“It’s a dirty play, Dennis could’ve really gotten hurt right there. That just can’t happen. Hard fouls, things like that, [that’s] playoff basketball and we accept those but to blatantly push a guy with two hands off the air is a scary play. Good thing he’s okay but plays like that are unacceptable.”
During the postgame presser, Booker was asked about Anthony Davis calling him out for the “dirty” play on his Lakers teammate. But instead of addressing it head on, he chose to dodge the question as not to incite anything further.

The Lakers were already well in control of the contest so the result wasn't in jeopardy, but it remains to be seen if any further punishment could be assessed to Booker for future games in the series.
The Lakers-Suns series has gotten chippy, with highly physical to downright dirty plays being exhibited through the first few games. If things start to get out of hand the rest of the series, the referees need to step in before someone gets seriously hurt.
Lakers-Suns Game 4 is on Sunday night.
