The NBA Playoffs officially begin on Saturday, with a fun-filled day of basketball ahead. By no surprise, former player and current analyst Kendrick Perkins has given his picks in the Western Conference and to be honest, they do sound pretty spot on.

Via Twitter:

Suns in 6 does seem a little bit of a stretch, though. They were the best team in the NBA during the regular season and although the New Orleans Pelicans come in with tons of momentum after a dramatic play-in win, Phoenix is a whole different beast. Maybe the Pels pull out one game but that's about it.

Warriors in five is realistic especially with Stephen Curry returning. But, you can also never count out reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, who has truly carried the Nuggets all year long with his ridiculous play.

The Grizzlies and Timberwolves clash and Memphis should have no problems advancing in five. Their experience and gritty style of play is electric to watch and Minnesota is new to this stage.

The most controversial of them all though is Jazz over Dallas in five. I suppose Perk believes Luka Doncic won't be returning for the NBA Playoffs because with the Slovenian back in the fold, the Mavs are definitely a favorite.

We'll see how right Perkins is with his picks in a couple of weeks.
