The Phoenix Suns of the mid-2000s were one of the most funs teams to watch in recent memory. Steve Nash's ridiculous passing combined with Amar'e Stoudemire's freakish athleticism combined to make some unreal highlights, making them one of th e most exciting duos in all of sports.

Just like in their playing days, Nash set Stoudemire up with a well-deserved shoutout in his Hall of Fame speech:

“I got to play with Amar'e Stoudemire. I didn't really watch a lot of film when I played. I certainly don't like to look back now, but whenever something comes across my timeline or I see a pick-and-roll with Amar'e, it makes me smile and this guy was the ultimate target for a point guard. He made the game a lot of fun. Thank you, Amar'e.”

And Stoudemire returned the favor by posting some kind words to Instagram with a very fitting caption.

Nash and Stoudemire spent six seasons together in Phoenix playing in D'Antoni's groundbreaking seven seconds or less offense. During that time, they never achieved the ultimate goal of winning a championship but they had tremendous individual success. They were each named to five All-Star Games and as mentioned earlier, Nash brought home two MVPs.

Stoudemire was the Robin to Nash's Batman and he's a huge reason for Nash's enshrinement into the Hall of Fame.
