DeMarcus Cousins' shoving of Devin Booker after the Los Angeles Clippers' last-second loss to the Phoenix Suns in Game 2 went viral, with a lot of people criticizing Boogie for his temper and being salty. Apparently, though, Book really wanted to get into the head of the big man.
In his postgame presser when he was asked about the exchange, Booker laughingly said he was just saying “Go Big Blue” to Cousins, in reference to their Kentucky connection. For those not in the know, the two played for the Wild Cats under John Calipari. The Clippers center was part of Kentucky's 2009-10 team, while the Suns guard joined the powerhouse collegiate squad for the 2014-15 season.
Afterwards, Devin Booker was asked about this exchange and subsequent jawing with Cousins and Rajon Rondo. "I was just saying, 'Go Big Blue.' That's my Kentucky guy," Booker said with a laugh about his fellow Wildcats alumni. "That's all I was saying: 'Go Big Blue.'" https://t.co/q00yRJE3ES

Whether it's a joke or not, one thing is clear: Devin Booker wants some real estate in the mind of DeMarcus Cousins. And what a way to get into someone's nerves, right?
Article Continues BelowCousins was assessed with a postgame technical foul for the incident, which is pretty rare considering there have been a lot of jawing and other incidents after games in the past.
It's not the first time the Clippers find themselves trailing 2-0 in the 2021-playoffs–it has been the norm for them actually–so Cousins is probably looking to get some revenge on Booker and the Suns come Game 3 at Staples Center.
Let's see who'll yell “Go Big Blue” when the Suns-Clippers Western Conference Finals series resumes.
