According to head coach Monty Williams, the Phoenix Suns will be getting a major boost on Monday evening against the Dallas Mavericks. Williams has revealed that All-Star guard Devin Booker will indeed return to the lineup as the Suns and Mavericks clash down in Dallas to kick-off a new week.

Booker has missed the Suns' last four games due to a strained left hamstring.

Prior to received the go-ahead to return to the floor against the Mavericks, Booker had been considered to be day-to-day by the franchise. Although his strained hamstring was never an overly severe setback, the Suns were no doubt be more cautious than not with the team's best player.

“He has done more and more each day,” Williams said on Sunday, via ArizonaSports.com. “In his shooting and drills today, he looked pretty good. What that means in relation to playing, I can’t speak on that, because that’s something for our training staff and him.”

The Suns will enter the Monday evening matchup against the Mavericks sporting a 10-8 record on the year.

The Suns have won back-to-back games including the team's most recent outing on Saturday against the Mavericks. Phoenix defeated Dallas, a team that has struggled mightily this season, by the score of 111-105 over the weekend.

Even in an always competitive Western Conference, the new-look Phoenix roster will certainly continue to make some noise after the organization revamped its roster this past offseason.

Not only that, but the Suns have carried over some major momentum from the “NBA bubble” as Phoenix impressed in a big way in Orlando to end the 2020 campaign.
